Large Oils
All of my large paintings are usually commissioned for buildings, so it's important to take into account the size of the painting and the viewing area from the start. Many projects require a model (Maquet) of the space (1 inch = 1 foot) scale.

Preliminary sketches as the more refined drawings are done at the same (1-inch scale). I have specialized in these large works. I listen to my client to find the beginning of the ideas and aspirations of the patron and the purpose of what and where the work of art will live. I like to explore many different concepts to find the one that works for you the patron and me.
We then move to larger scale studies usually 3 inches or 4 inches to the foot, refining the ideas

I move to full-scale drawings, always refining the work. More focus on the details.

I transfer the drawing onto the canvas and begin the painting. At each phase, I meet the patron to discuss what is working and what needs to be changed. Percent of payment upon approval of the work so far.
